About

Tend

Tend is Spiraledge's farming management platform, built for the distinct rhythms of agricultural work. Unlike typical SaaS products, Tend peaks in December through March when farmers are off the fields and doing their planning and management work. That means heavy usage, rapid hotfixes, and constant change all hit at the same time, making regression prevention a business-critical priority heading into every Q4.
the problem

Releasing constantly during peak season with no safety net on critical flows

Tend's team was shipping updates at high velocity heading into their busiest months, exactly when a broken onboarding flow or core workflow would spike support volume and erode customer trust fast. They needed comprehensive E2E coverage on their most critical journeys, a way to feed failures directly into JIRA with enough context to act on immediately, and a closed-loop process where real user issues became permanent test coverage. And they needed it in place before January.

the Solution

Real application flow tests directly in delivery pipeline

Checksum uses AI to generate end-to-end tests from your real application flows and wire them directly into your delivery pipeline. Instead of building automation from scratch, Checksum learns your critical journeys, maintains the suite automatically, and feeds every failure into JIRA with full context, ready to act on immediately.

Realistic coverage

Models are trained on actual user activity, so tests reflect how real users move through your product, covering edge cases as well as the happy path.

Continuous by design

Checksum plugs directly into CI, running on every commit, every PR, and every deploy, so quality is baked into the workflow, not bolted on at the end.

Works with your stack

No rip-and-replace required. Checksum integrates with your existing CI pipeline, frameworks, and coding agents like Cursor and Claude Code.
the Results

A living test suite that plugs into how Tend already works

Core flows covered before peak season

Every day, Checksum runs the full E2E suite and automatically opens a JIRA ticket for any failure, complete with reproduction steps, screenshots, logs, and failure traces. Engineers triage inside their existing sprint workflow with issues that arrive pre-debugged.

Failures land in JIRA, pre-debugged

Every bug becomes a guardrail

When end users report issues through Tend's feedback system, high-priority bugs are sent back to Checksum, which builds or updates tests around that scenario. Every painful bug becomes a new guardrail, making the suite more representative of real-world risk over time.
I just want to say good job on the team here, I appreciate your work.”
